I wrote an entry a couple of weeks ago about my Aunt that had past away. Last night my Uncle, her husband, also past. He had cerosis of the liver and was bleeding internally. It's sad for me yes, but I can't stop thinking of my cousin more so. In his twenties and already lost both his parents, and my cousin's son loosing his grandparents who he wont remember meeting. One of the saddest things I can think of is not remembering my Grandfather at all. He past when I was very young as well. Too that I can relate, it's hard to grow up without that kind of figure in your life.

Aight kids I'm calling in all my "i owe ya one"s. Relunctently, I've set up the following two myspace (read: ick) pages -- for my stuff and for the band. All I'm asking is for any of you cats with one of these crazy pages of your own, too friend these two profiles. Do that and I'll call things even. Even Stephen.
sugarbeard bear claps
Speaking of bear claps. This would be what used to be known as yes sir madame. There was some lame band from montreal with the name already and they're playing shows -- poorly I assume -- so we had to change the name again (same thing happened with siksik, which is now sugarbeard). Making a myspace music page is apparently the way to claim your turf, so there we have it. We're working on a 7 track ep right now called the scuba dave ep and there should be talks of shows sortly.
Tis all.

On a completely different note... neat:

Two-person teledildonic rig
REMEMBER THE JOKE running around the net about remote sexual devices? The things you do to one part are replicated on the other, and so on an so forth? Out of town for the weekend with a milk delivery during one of those days? Purchase the Virtual-Hole from a Japanese company called Segment Inc and you can rest easy.
The Virtual-Hole is a two part device, one for males, one for females. The male side is a chrome bowling pin that has has an orifice with seven motors around it. The female part is the usual multi-pronged pitchfork with enough nubs and widgets to make the most jaded person wonder. It also has seven sensors embedded in it. Guess what they correspond to?
As you can see above, the male device looks like a bowling pin, the release is chrome not clear. You unscrew the base and, umm, this is a family site, right? Work it out on your own. You can see the flesh colored sensors in the middle. Below you can see the female device with the sensors embedded in the, umm, shaft.
Both have USB ports and you plug those into the PC. Duh. What happens on one side happens on the other, and also the other way around, in real time. The joke lives for only $100 or so for the female attachment, $200 for the male.
They also have a web site where you can get profiles for your Virtual-Hole. You subscribe for only $25 a month, and get to download profiles of porn stars. If you want, you can record your own profile, and upload it for others to partake in. If it is popular, you get cut back a percentage of the profits.
You may go abouts your day now. .derek

Finally. After even more (minor) changes, the album is finished. Holy. Gave out the first copies today to people. The packaging still needs to be done for the final copies but I'm starting to hand out burnt copies to get peoples thoughts. So as for the changes, the title of the album instead of receivers and seaweed is now i tell you, thinks would be a lot different if i were the lord of magnets.
1. cthulhu fhtagn (let yer heart shine in) 2. pop gun 3. ghost ships 4. oh love 5. i wish my uncle had a glockenspeil 6. i'll think enough 7. tofu 8. paint by clay 9. receivers and seaweed.
There's talk of a show soon. Very soon. A couple weeks soon. But it's not 100% yet so I can't say anything yet. If it comes through then I'll be posting it here.

My aunt paulette passed away this morning in her sleep. She had been fighting off cancer for the past 4 years and as of late everything had started to get worse. She was going through a lot of pain and was staying in a long term hosptial. She was my only aunt that lived in this city and as such i spent a lot of young life with her. When I was really young I had a babysitter who just didn't treat me very well. After my parents found out they had me go to my aunts instead so she could watch me. I remember spilling my milk once over breakfast then hiding under the kitchen table scared. She told me it was all right and we cleaned it up. Aunt Paulette was the first person to ever take me on a o.c. bus. We sat in the front and she let me pull the cord for our stop. She tought me that it'd okay to eat the crust of my toast, and everytime i would see her after that including the last time i did, she would ask me to make sure I was still eating my crust. My only regret is not going to visit her in her final days. It's amasing how empty the world can feel when one person leaves. She was a beautiful woman with a kind heart. Goodbye auntie.
